Girl Code LA envisions a world where minority girls have access to all the tools to code so that they can help close the gap between their male counterparts and give them an even playing field with the rest of the world . We have a vision and plan to implement tools of coding education, helping recently released inmates with school age children learn skills with their child , give minorities access to lunch meals , and offer aid to immigrant parents who are at risk of being separated from their children.

Our Core Values

Knowledge - To give minority girls the tools to be well vast in technology.

Forgiveness - While teaching morals and life skills we will also help children of inmates learn to forgive their parents and empower them.

Respect-  We value our students and want to teach them to value others. Students who join GCLA will participate in feeding the homeless and less fortunate.

Equality- Our belief is that no one is better than the other . GCLA strives to help undocumented parents in the quest to help their children that are currently involved in our program.

Philosophy & Approach - The most important part of being a Non profit is being for the people. The demand for minority girls to get into technology within the nonprofit sector is increasing as is the number of organizations receiving exempt status. We believe that technology and transitional  programs should be a top priority right now with the current state of the United States.
